Working at CJ

I get to create an experience for on-screen movies. That’s pretty cool to be able to make the audience feel like they’re racing next to Vin Diesel in Fate of the Furious or having a lightsaber fight in Star Wars. As a 4DX Art Director, my job is to give creative direction on our immersive 4D experience. I lead a team of editors to put together some of the coolest effects and motion simulations for Hollywood feature titles. A typical day can be very rough with long hours editing in front of a computer, and the turnaround time is very quick. We tediously take the movie apart to figure out when, where and how to best implement 4D effects, but the end-product is very much worth the effort. CJ is at the forefront of 4D technology and our technology boasts an impressive display of attention to details that other companies simply can’t. We’re expanding rapidly and it’s hard not to want to be a part of that growth.

My career path at CJ has given me the opportunity to develop expertise in new and stimulating technologies related to my position. In my current position as Co-Product Supervisor, I am responsible for overseeing the inventory and distributing our co-products, which are produced from our manufacturing process. CJ offers a friendly work environment that continuously promotes togetherness and professional development while striving to be the best. Many opportunities are also available for team building and community involvement such as CSV activities. CJ’s core values of integrity, passion and creativity align with my personal beliefs. In addition, CJ management encourages and promotes efforts to be the best in every position of your career path while giving you the tools and freedom to achieve those goals. Attending events like Global Fertilizer Summit in China and other global locations, assist us in the global harmonization of our facilities and staff while also arming us with invaluable knowledge to take back to our facilities.

I’m responsible for a logistics center operation. providing leadership to deliver overall operational performance, including safety, quality, productivity and meeting customer requirements. I have responsibility for the financial performance of the operation I lead, and for delivering cost savings, continuous improvement and customer value. Promoting out culture and demonstrating our values, I coach and motivate our operations leaders and employees and keep the team aligned to customer goals., and I identify and develop operational talent. My role has a direct impact on the culture, energy, passion and results within our operations. Employee relations, continuous improvement and safety are in my care. I connect what our customers want and need to what our operations deliver.

Guidance from knowledgeable colleagues and supportive managers has helped develop my career in Human Resources as a HR Assistant. CJ also provides various training opportunities that encourages me to attain my future professional goals. The cultural environment allows me to enjoy and be involved in company’s club and talent sharing activities, while advancing my career path. My responsibilities at CJ range from processing payroll in accordance to Labor Law to helping with the implementation of Company Policies. I enjoy being a part of Human Resources because it’s a field that requires many different skill-set and so I believe I can help make a difference in the company directly.

Every day for more than six years, I have been excited to come to the office and work with my creative, hardworking, and thoughtful colleagues on projects where we develop new ways to deliver the future of entertainment. Whenever we find ourselves at a crossroads, the CJ decision is made on the values of “is this first, best, or different?” For me, being part of the CJ Family means challenging myself and my team every day to maximize strategic thinking and follow through with great performance, which is an amazing place to grow as a leader.

One of the things that initially drew me to CJ Foods, was the ‘grass-roots’ origin of the company – the vision of one individual who decided that he was going to make a difference in his community and country. Something so simple and basic – sugar manufacturing – growing into what CJ is today.
