Laura Adams, CJ Logistics America’s Vice President, TES (Technology, Engineering, Systems & Solutions) has been named a winner of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2021 Women in Supply Chain award. Laura leads the teams at CJ Logistics that are piloting technology solutions to address real customer needs impacting labor functions, such as automated guided vehicles, virtual reality simulation, robotics, visualized data dashboards and specialized conveyors.

CJ Logistics Partners with Lock&lock, A Twosome Place to Promote Reuse of Waste Plastics

South Korean logistics giant CJ Logistics Corp. has signed a deal with two of its clients to launch a new project aimed at promoting the reuse of waste plastics to reduce carbon emissions. Lock&lock Co., a Seoul-based plastic containers maker, and A Twosome Place, a major coffee shop franchise, will collect the waste plastics and single use cups generated at their workplaces and provide them to CJ Logistics, which will upcycle them into products that can be used in logistics and daily life.

Naver and CJ Logistics push for next day delivery

Naver and CJ Logistics said on Sunday its “all-round” fulfillment center in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, had begun operation in a further push for next day delivery. The move comes after Naver and CJ Group signed a 600 billion-won ($529 million) share-swap deal last year, signaling a strategic partnership in South Korea’s competitive e-commerce industry which has been energized by the rise of crosstown rival Coupang in recent years.
