Regal to Open First ScreenX Theatres in New York and San Francisco

CJ 4DPLEX and Regal announced today that the latest ScreenX locations in the U.S. will open in New York City and San Francisco on Thursday, September 6. The launch will mark the first theatres in each of these cities to feature ScreenX, the premium, panoramic, 270-degree cinema environment that projects films on three walls of the auditorium. With these openings, ScreenX is to expand its domestic presence to seven locations. The new ScreenX installations will be located at Regal Union Square Stadium 14 in New York City and Regal Hacienda Crossings Stadium 20 in San Francisco.

S Korean Spy Thriller ‘The Spy Gone North’ Released in U.S. and Canada

South Korean spy thriller "The Spy Gone North" has been released in the United States and Canada. CJ E&M America said the movie opened in local theaters in Washington D.C., New York and several other major cities on Friday. Set in the 1990s when the Korean Peninsula was on the brink of war over North Korea's nuclear weapons program, the film tells the story of a South Korean spy who goes undercover as a businessman in North Korea to infiltrate its nuclear facilities.

KCON 2018 LA Breaks Record with 94,000 Fans in Attendance

KCON 2018 USA presented by Toyota drew a record-breaking 94,000 fans to KCON 2018 LA, the largest celebration of Korean culture in the world this past weekend in Downtown Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Staples Center. KCON 2018 USA closes out the summer with a combined total of 147,000 attendees for its two U.S. events in 2018. KCON delivered on its signature goal of bringing fans closer to their favorite stars adding in programming, that in addition to the concert, gave fans over 20 opportunities per day to engage and interact face-to-face with the biggest performing stars of the weekend.
