CJ Logistics expands global e-commerce shipping services

The logistics arm of conglomerate CJ Group has secured a global e-commerce platform client to deliver products internationally, according to industry sources on Dec. 13. CJ Logistics will build a global distribution center (GDC) at Incheon International Airport to shorten the average shipping time within the Asia-Pacific region from the current seven days to two to three days.

CJ Biomaterials Has Big Plans for Tunable PHA Biopolymers

CJ Bio, now known as CJ Biomaterials, acquired polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) pioneer Metabolix in 2016. Earlier this year, the company’s amorphous PHA (aPHA), went into production with the startup of a new production facility in Indonesia. Designated as PHACT A100P, aPHA is the bioplastic supplier’s initial launch from a technology platform for “tunable” designer biopolymers that can also enhance other bioplastics.

Tubi Signs Deal with South Korean Entertainment Company CJ ENM

Tubi has signed a content deal with entertainment company CJ ENM, the streamer announced on Monday. The partnership will launch with over 75 Korean films, dramas and K-POP series, totaling 500 hours of content, and will be added as a branded curation to Tubi’s non-English content offering. The move comes as Tubi’s Korean programming viewership has grown over 25% year-over-year on the platform.

CJ partners with Emmyon to develop ingredients preventing muscle atrophy

South Korean food giant CJ CheilJedang Corp. announced that it has signed a license contract with Emmyon, an American biotechnology startup, to utilize Emmyon’s various patents regarding ursolic acid, at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. Ursolic acid is a natural compound contained in apple skin and rosemary. Emmyon holds a number of patents for technology that uses it to improve muscle metabolism.
