Cinépolis Teams with CJ 4DPlex to Rollout Additional 4DX Screens

Confirming 4D immersive cinema as part of the global expansion plan of one of the world’s biggest exhibition groups, Mexico’s Cinépolis has pacted with CJ 4Dplex to install its 4DX system at least 12 additional sites in the U.S., India, Spain, and across Latin America. The new U.S. Screens opening are at Carlsbad, north of San Diego, and Los Angeles County’s Pico Rivera.

Bibigo taps RKF to direct American Roll Out

RKF has been retained as the exclusive retail leasing representative by Bibigo as it embarks on a plan to establish a national presence throughout the US, starting in Southern California over the next year. The chain currently has four locations in Westwood Village, Century City, Glendale and Culver City, and two recently announced restaurants in Arcadia and Torrance. Bibigo plans to open as many as 12 locations in Southern California by 2017.

Tous les Jours Plans to Open a Second Boston Location

TLJ with an existing location near Boston’s City Hall will open a second location in the area by taking over a storefront on Harvard Avenue in Allston. TLJ specializes in a variety of breads, pastries, and sandwiches, and some of its most recognizable items include Korean-style baked pan cake breads and brioche towers. The bakery also offers smoothies, coffee, bubble teas, and more.

Recap: Chef One 2016 NYC Dumpling Festival

On September 24th, lovers of doughy pockets of fried (or boiled or steamed) goodness flocked to the Lower East Side for the 13th annual Dumpling Festival in Sarah D. Roosevelt Park. The day was dedicated to all-things-dumpling, from dumpling cooking classes to the always-epic dumpling eating contest. All proceeds were donated to the Food Bank for NYC.

'We Kill Death' to be First Feature Made for 4DX and ScreenX

Producers Alex A. Ginzburg and Tony Lee of Let It Play (Hardcore Henry) announced a partnership with 4DX and ScreenX that will make their recently announced film “We Kill Death” the first feature film produced specifically for each of the two immersive cinema technology formats. “We Kill Death” focuses on YouTube stars Mustang Wanted, Oleg Cricket and the duo of Vitaliy Raskalov and Vadim Makhorov, who are familiar to millions of viewers around the world for their imaginative and death-defying stunts and adventures.
